Hope Stone has been an immense resource for my family, especially my grandson Jordan, who spent many after school hours attending Hope Stone's wonderful youth classes during his junior and early senior high school years. Hope Stone helped Jordan engage with other humans and the world, gave him an option beyond electronics and solitude--he always felt he belonged at Hope Stone. He so loved the camaraderie and creativity of these acting/creating/playing/challenging activities that he once cried because he could not attend them during Summer break! My younger daughter Alina (not Jordan's mother) also matured a great deal under the dance instruction and mentoring of Hope Stone director Jane Weiner, who is truly a treasure for our city, its youth and its artists. I am always amazed by her ability to use people of all ages and ability to make interesting, fun and thoughtful art. To me Hope Stone embodies the mission of an art non-profit, it is one of Jane's mottos: "art for all." Thanks, Bennie Slavik
