I have the opportunity to work with this organization from the Detroit office. They are fighting against water shut offs in the poorer neighborhoods. They have also been working with city council to come up with a reasonable water affordability plan. This effort is essential because water is a basic human need and right.

Without the efforts of this group, their organizers and volunteers, many in the City of Detroit would have a difficult time accessing clean water.

This is just part of what the organizer do for our city a day its surrounding area. They have worked tirelessly to bring affordable fresh fruits and vegetables to the food desserts that pocket the city.

The people at Food and Water Watch have a genuine concern for the health and safety of everyone. What we put in our bodies on a daily basis is important. Access to safe water and healthy food for all is the focus of these folks who have a real love for people.
