My wife Penny is the Director and Founder of the non profit Oregon Tiger Sanctuary and I am the Director of Veterinary Services. Our exotic veterinarian is one of the best veterinarians in the world and she has been the Medical Director of the Washington Ferret Association for many years. The Washington Ferret Association is an excellent facility caring for many ferrets with high quality veterinary care, husbandry, and love. We strongly support the work that they do and the contribution they make to the welfare of these precious ferrets. Thank you very much to everyone who supports the Washington Ferret Association in any way.

I've worked with the WFRS both as a volunteer, and as someone who adopted my 4 ferrets from the shelter. They provide excellent care for all the ferrets under their care, and for the greater community of ferret owners by providing their wealth of knowledge to the ferret community. They've even helped develop better quality ferret food. I support them monthly, and call them when I have ferret questions, despite moving to Louisiana.

I have adopted several ferrets from this shelter. The volunteers are some of the most caring, educated, and, organized people that you will ever find. They run a tight ship and the ferrets are very well treated.

I helped out at the WFRS for years and it was a happy, clean place for ferrets to live!! The ferrets welfare and care were always the top concern of everyone there. They were kept safe, well fed, with clean water, warm clean beds, play time and cuddle time. Their medical needs were taken care of. It was more of a hotel for ferrets than a shelter.

I have got all of my ferrets at Washington Ferret ASS due to the need to adopt Ferrets due to the over population of this fur babies. they take in the sick, a banded. They will pair you up with the right partners if you take two. I highly would I recommend them.

In the world of rescue, the Washington Ferret Association rates right there at the top. The folks who donate their time and energy to run this facility are passionate about what they do, and work tirelessly to make sure all these animals needs are met. Those who need medical attention are taken care of in a timely manner. Enrichment is provided as well; these ferrets are not just simply "warehoused" like I have seen in some rescues. If folks are considering a rescue to donate to, I highly suggest considering donating to the WASHINGTON FERRET ASSOCIATION.
Sincerely,

This is a great non profit that benefits ferrets in Washington state. Have donated to this non profit for at least 20 years. They take care of so many ferrets in Washington State and do so with so much love. Many hard working volunteers and fosters to take care of the ferrets, but they need help all the way around to take care of all the ferrets.

We had a single ferret and we reached out the Washington Ferret Rescue and scheduled a meet and greet with out ferret Rattitooie, and ended up adopting Dewey and Louie. We traveled from eastern washington and made a day trip out of it. I could not be more impressed with their organization and volenteers!

This is an outstanding grass roots organization that truly cares about the animals and people it serves. Ferrets aren’t a common pet and a lot of pet owners don’t realize ferrets need love too. Thanks for taking care of these little guys!

We got our ferret, Conan, from this non-profit ferret association. The volunteers were very helpful and clearly cared about the ferrets in their charge. The cages were clean and supplied with food and water. Normally you have to take two ferrets rather than adopting one, since they don't do well alone, but ours was an anti-social creature who specialized in attacking others, so he couldn't be put with another one. He did well in our household, though, ruling it with an iron paw, including the dog and two cats.
The Washington Ferret Association is volunteer run and does a good job helping stray and lost ferrets find good homes. They deserve our support.

I have been involved with the Washington Ferret Association dba Washington Ferret Rescue & Shelter since its inception in 1998. I have served for years as the Medical Director, and more recently just as am member of the Board. The Shelter has grown from housing under a dozen ferrets to now caring for over 200 at any given time through housing in the two facilities or through the foster program. The shelter is totally volunteer-staffed. All funds raised go for the care of the ferrets. Many of the ferrets surrendered have major medical problems and require on-going therapy. The shelter is a no-kill shelter and ends up caring for many in a hospice program. They are a 501 (c) 3 charity, www.washingtonferret.org
