Mission: To provide the resources and support to preserve, interpret and advance the education about world war ii in the pacific and to manage the national museum of the pacific war under an agreement with the texas historical commission.
Programs: Museum support: the organization oversees and manages, under agreement with the texas historical commission, the national museum of the pacific war. Visitation attendance in 2017 was 126,635. In addition to ordinary operations during 2017 the admiral nimitz foundation raised funds and completed a renovation to the pacific combat zone section of the museum.
retail sales: the organization oversees and manages a museum store and a bookstore that sells references and souvenirs relating to the history of world war ii in the pacific.
memorials and memberships:the organization is supported by over 2,500 members and continues to expand a memorial wall of plaques in honor of world war ii heroes and a walk of engraved bricks that honors all men and women who have served.
